Management of social networks, has become a strategic challenge for different applications including education due to its growing importance. Enterprise Architecture (EA), uses a holistic specification of information technology functions in organizations to decrease the complexity of using information technology and to increase its efficiency. As regards, using social networks in education in most countries of the world has not yet finished its preliminary stages, so for this reason there is no standard framework and model. The aim of this paper is to design an appropriate architecture framework for utilizing social networks in higher education system in Iran. To do this, first the concept of social networks and its applications at educational environment have been investigated. Then the concept of enterprise architecture and information architecture framework are studied, Zachman framework has been selected as the main tool and then using questionnaire the vital aspects of implementing social networks in higher education have been identified from the views of experts. The findings of study indicate the main reasons for the use of social networks in higher education (strategy), the most important actors in this field (people), the infrastructure needed (infrastructure), the data and information required in this environment (data) and also the processes required to fulfill the social network of learning (process). The main characteristic of the final framework is a presentation of a comprehensive framework for using social network in education system with attention to local considerations. Manuscript profile

The purpose of this study was the evaluation of e-learning in Iran higher education by using benchmarking approach. The population was all of students in four universities which presented e-learning. By multistage clustered sampling method, 702 students were selected. The research instrument was a researcher made questionnaire included e-learning (organization and management affair, technology, educational aspects, interface design, support services, evaluation and ethical and legal considerations). After calculating validity and reliability, the questionnaires were distributed among sample students and data was analyzed by ANOVA and Scheffe post hoc. Results showed: the university D with higher mean in all of seven dimensions had the best position among three other universities. Furthermore, the university B in five dimensions and the university C in two dimensions was the best. While benchmarking can be tested processes and models from other universities and implementing techniques and approaches used them more. Manuscript profile

Introduction :The main purpose of this study was to indicate the degree of applying professional ethics  and vocational qualifications of victuals’ professors in Isfahan and Medical Sciences Universities of Isfahan. The research method was survey and descriptive one. Statistical population included all professors and their assistants from virtual universities of Isfahan and Medical Sciences Universities in 2012-2013 academic years. 168 students were selected by using stratified random sampling method. Data gathering instrument was self-made questionnaire with four different items included designing, teaching, evaluating and using the technologies. After determining the reliability of the questionnaire, it was distributed between 30 professors for calculating the variance of the population. Validity of the questionnaire was calculated by using Alpha Cronbach Coefficient.  The results indicated that professors and their assistants believed that, they are applying moral and professional ethics more than average 3.5. Inverse, their students believed that professors used moral and ethics less than average. The differences may be the results of varieties between two educational environments: virtual and on campus education. The results indicated that the professors in virtual education should have different qualifications from the on campus universities professors. Therefore, higher education institutions should provide in-service teaching programs for their professors to be acquainted them with new tools and new teaching methods for using in the virtual courses. The general purpose of this article is to evaluate e-learning in Iran's higher education using the optimal mining approach. The statistical population studied included the students of four universities that provide electronic education in Iran (A, B, C and D) and 702 of them were selected by cluster sampling. The research tool included a researcher-made questionnaire consisting of the dimensions of e-learning (including organization and management, technology, educational aspects, presentation environment design, support services, evaluation, and ethical and legal considerations), which after calculating its validity and reliability among students Sample distribution and using the statistical methods of analysis of variance and Sheffe's post hoc test, the obtained data were analyzed. The results showed that "D" University, having the highest average in all dimensions, had the best situation compared to other universities, and among the other three universities; University "B" was superior in five dimensions and University "C" in two dimensions of the seven dimensions of e-learning. In addition, optimal mining can be used more by examining and testing processes and models in other universities and adapting their techniques and approaches. Manuscript profile
